Excuses

Excuses are the reasons why many of us do not accomplish much in life. We feed ourselves a plate of reasons why we do not set out today to reach for our goals. Excuses can be as reversible as the next craving. Beliefs are powerful.

We allow for excuses to control our imagination with finding creative ways to solve problems. It's easier to voice an excuse than to actually use our minds.

Can it be that excuses are just a coating on the fear that is inside all of us? Fear is only placed upon us - by us.

EXCUSES ARE ONLY THE EASY WAY TO A CHALLENGE. EVERYONE MAKES ONE WHEN THEY HIT A CHALLENGE. EVERYONE MAKES ONE WHEN THEY FEEL THREATENED. EXCUSES AND CANNOT SHOULD BE DELETED FROM OUR DICTIONARIES.

Excuses is just a word used freely to describe an action. Possible used too freely by most who panic with the unknown. Nike said it best "just do it". That's what I live by.

i feel that excuses are created to make us feel better when we fail. think about it, when we do not accomplish our goals, we blame a reason labeled as an excuse to cover our true feelings of failure.

I guess there's no excuse for anyone not to read this book. You've found the secret to making it easy to read. How come no other book is using this format? All the paragraphs normally look like one full page, which is why I use to start a book and never finish. This is definitely very easy to read.

I've got to admit, this is actually the 1st book I have been able finish once I started. And I believe it's in the format. You've got a winner with this one Thomas.

Format or not, people are just too lazy in general. If it's not on the radio, on the television, or given to them in their email, they will not listen. Sad, but this nation is not going to get off their a$$ and buy a book telling them to get off their a$$ and start thinking. Perhaps you should try to package this book with the supersize meals at McDonald's, then people would at least look at it.

Creative advertising idea Phil. While people gain weight, they can read my book on why America is so obese. I think that is brilliant!!! Does anyone know of McDonald's execs I could be in contact with to make this happen??

This book is not in my book store so I choose not to buy it. An excuse? Yes. Reality? Yes.

Thomas you are the devil in a masked name. You need the church to give you the guidance you are in desperate need of. Go forth and obtain the truth in God.

Wow. So the whole excuses comment really hit a chord, eh?

It's just become so easy to make excuses. And no one calls anyone on it because it seems like bad form. Someone's late, they make an excuse, to call them on it seems ungracious. So it gets easier and easier to just make a quick easy excuse. Its SO much easier than taking responsibility for your actions.

Look around. You'll find that the biggest losers you see are also the people who make the most excuses, the ones who always have a reason they couldn't show up, couldn't keep the promise, couldn't finish the commitment, couldn't be counted on. They have an excuse for everything.

Is that person you? You can change that. I haven't even bought the book yet and I know that much.

in response to Phygmint:

a lot of people feel this way, just do not want to admit to it. i agree that we have been making excuses...one after another, the next one bigger than the previous for our entire lives.....sad.

to mr. fleetwood:

great work! love the way you flow the paragraphs to read like normal conversation. i will admit (unlike others who hide behind a mask) that i was a bit hesitant to purchase this book on the judgement given by others. glad you proved them wrong. unsure why people are so frustrated when shown a mirror, look, this is where we are and use this information to change for the future.......in a few years mr. fleetwood, this world is going to go through dramatic changes. and you're right, either we are prepared or we are left.
