General Feedback

Good, bad, happy, sad, if you want to say hi, bye.......anything. I have been receiving emails lately suggesting to place a post for general feedback for those who wish to express themselves freely.

Thank you in advance for all your feedback. Thank you for accepting change.

Don't know why people are following this book. Didn't they lock up Dr. Timothy Leary for saying some of these things???? Doesn't anyone learn?? Thomas I think you have a great idea to get people to understand one another, to understand their potentials, but this isn't going to work. Peoplpe are just plain lazy in life - which is why they would rather just sit and watch the television. Don't bother printing your next book.

HEY THOMAS WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST AMERICANS? WHY DON'T YOU JUST MOVE OUT AND GO TO CANADA WITH ALL THOSE OTHER ANTI-AMERICAN HIPPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Just wanted to give you props for making this so easy to read. Why aren't all the books like that? When you do release the emergy pages, can you please put it in the same format as this book? Thanks.

this sounds like an american hate book. why should i spend my hard earned us dollars on something that goes against us.

Anonymous said...

This is far from an "American Hate Book". Don't judge a book by it's cover!! The United States of Lazy shows us hope in America and how we can become #1 again as a nation in this world.

Anonymous said...

You truly have created somewhat of a movement amongst those yearning for change to happen. We all know that the US is not heading in the right direction so hopefully this book can be the smoke that will ignite the minds to creating a better future for us all.

HEY - u mention Perez Hilton in this book - lol...why? wtf?

Anonymous said...

Perez is used to show that we are too deeply involved with the non-essential elements in life, that we should not be showing an image of what we buy.

Anonymous said...

Perez Hilton RULES!!!!!!!!

Now this book is doomed........don't know if i want 2 read it now.

I am very pleased with this book. Despite some people talking about this being anti-american because of the title, I purchased it to make my own decisions. Glad I did. You are as American as it comes Thomas. I await for the Emergy Pages.

I hear Perez is in my hometown this weekend for the MTV Australia Video Music Awards. You going to be there Thomas?

Anonymous said...

Bertran,

Why would Thomas go to the MTV Music Awards? To lend his hand at giving out the awards? I'm sure Thomas has more important things to do then to socialize with television children.

Thomas - great book! I DO NOT think at all this goes against Americans. People do not like to hear the truth and so they construct a reason to push it out of their minds. Thanks for your words of wisdom Thomas!!!!

VERY POWERFUL WORDS THERE THOMAS. BUT IS ONE BOOK ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE MINDS OF A NATION? THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMMMMM...

How to Handle Doubters
...it's really quite simple.

1. Whenever you hear anyone sounding off on internal freedom and conciousness-expanding foods and drugs, whether pro or con, check out these questions:
Is your expert talking from direct experience, or simply repeating cliches? Theologians and intellectuals often deprecate "experience" in favor of fact and concept. This classic debate is falsely labeled. Most often it becomes a case of "experience" vs. "inexperience".

2. Do his words spring from a spiritual or mundane point of view? Is he motivated by a dedicated quest for answers to basic questions, or is he protecting his own social-psychological position, his own game investment? Is he struggling towards sainthood, or is he maintaining his status as a hard-boiled scientist or hard-boiled cop?

3. How would his argument sound if it was heard in a different culture? (for example, in an African jungle hut, a ghat on the Ganges, or on another planet inhabited by a form of life superior to ours) or in a different time (for example, in Periclean Athens, or in a Tibetan monestery, or in a bull session led by any one of the great religious leaders - founders - messiahs)? Or how would it sound to other species of life on our planet today - to the dolphins, to the conciousness of the redwood tree? In other words, try to break out of your usual tribal game set and listen with the ears of another one of God's creatures.

4. How would the debate sound to you if you were fatally diseased with a week to live, and thus less comitted to mundane issues?...

5. Is this point of view one which opens up or closes down? Are you being urged to explore, experience, or gamble out of spiritual faith, join somone who shares your cosmic ignorance on a collaborative voyage of discovery? Or are you being pressured to close off, protect your gains, play it safe, accept the authoritative voice of someone who knows best?

6. When we speak, we say little about the subject matter and disclose mainly the state of our own mind. Does your psychedelic expert use terms which are positive, pro-life, spiritual, inspiring, opening, based on faith in the future, faith in your potential or does he betray a mind obsessed by danger, material concern, by imaginary terrors, administrative caution or essential distrust in your potential? Dear friends, there is nothing in life to fear; no spiritual gain can be lost.

7. If he is against what he calls "artificial methods of illumination," ask him what constitutes the natural. Words? Rituals? Tribal customs? Alkaloids? Psychedelic vegetables?

8. If he is against biochemical assistance, where does he draw the line? Does he use nicotine? alcohol? penicillin? vitamins? convential sacremental substances?

9. If your advisor is against LSD, what is he for? If he forbids you the psychedelic key to revelation, what does he offer you instead?

Hello Thomas -

I just read a review for your new book in my local paper and wanted to check out the Blog page. It's interesting how everyone has different responses with their take on your teachings. Does your book come in a hardback version? I only see the option on Barnes & Noble's website for a paperback version.

Thanks for your time.

So what's going on with Oprah's website and your book? I hear that they've deleted a posting about the US of Lazy....is that true? Sucks that a new form of censorship is happening with the online world.

Don't give up Thomas. I believe your book will get everyone to re-think the way they live their life....it did for me and I thank you tremendously.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Hey US Lazy,

Heard about your mishap with Oprah's website kicking you off her site. That blows man. At least you're still connected with us on myspace. Keep up the good work and duties of educating our lost souls - it's refreshing that there's someone out there the governement is not censoring (or putting in jail!).

Hello Thomas - My name is Thomas too. I wanted to express my thoughts with your blogspot and am glad I found you. There is definitely some interesting people out there who have written messages here. Jeremy - Right now there is only a paperback version like the one you've found. If there is a greater need for a hard back version, I will of course look into it. Thanks for asking!

Hello Everyone:

Thanks for noticing that mishap with Oprah's website. I wouldn't have caught that so soon if it wasn't for you guys notifying me. Unsure as to what went on over there? I don't believe there were any comments left that might have been threatening, just the usual think for yourself type responses.?.? So I'm baffled with this censorship (if one should call it that).

Without taking up too much space here, sorry for any inconvenience Oprah's website may have left you guys (if you were members). I will continue to keep this blog open as well as the myspace account at www.myspace.com/uslazy

Till next time.

Probably some worried mods getting out of hand. They don't want to be responsible for the type of discussion your book brings to the surface.

Keep it up Thomas.

Also they probably don't want to hear it from Oprah!

Interesting book there Thomas. I truly recommend this to anyone out there who wishes to bend their current straight thinking with a dash of reality. Insightful. Playful. Brilliant. I can see possibilities here with production. I'm going to be in touch with you.

MNight? As in Shyamalan? If so I love your movies!!!!!! You thinking of asking Thomas Fleetwood with some of his ideas???? I know they are WAY off the normal chart - interesting to see what it would translate on the big screen......

You definitely have me buying a ticket to check that out!!!

Stupid is what stupid does Thomas....I think this is bull. If America cannot operate on the sets of directions you have outlined in your book but themselves, how do you think they will be able to let alone pick up a book like yours to educate?

Anonymous said...

The question on whether or not people will listen can boil down to whether or not people can put down the remote control. We are becoming lazy. Look at us. The average citizen is overweight, underpaid, unhappy, & mad at everyone else besides themselves because of this.

I was trapped inside the tube of non-reality not long ago. I started reading books for kicks and am glad I did. If I were to just pick up this book and read, I don't think I would have grasped all that is there to be taken in. The majority of what Thomas has written would have flown right over my head.

I not only recommend this book as one to read, but I recommend others to read it a few times. There's a lot of information in this book, unsure if Thomas actually meant for it to happen that way - indirectly. If so, I'll be the first to label this guy a genius (if he is even a guy!).

Kudos to you Thomas for giving us this knowledge!!

Hey Thomas just wanted to stop by to show some support. Finally got around to reading your book. It was sitting on my nightstand for weeks - guess the television makes it easier for us to not have to engage our mental strength.

Take care.

Well I think everyone who posts bad comments are tools. They are exactly how you described: lazy, comfortable with what has been provided, content with where they are in life, unhealthy physically and mentally.

I support everything that you have said in your pages Thomas. Too bad most of America won't be able to because they do not hold value to importance. They would rather spend $12 on Starbuck's, or $12 on lottery tickets (poor man's tax - good one Thomas), or $12 on getting that sports package on Direct Tv then on actually spending $12 on a book like yours.

I feel ashamed to be in a country that puts it's attention on Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan instead on real core issues that will benefit our nation.

wooooooo. not everyone is going to be ready for this thomas...but i guess when you have the tiger by the tail, you shouldn't let it go. i've just sent a link to everyone i know telling them where to purchase your book. i definitely think EVERY citizen should read this.
